I worked in the head office for the Education Department for 6 years...a fantastic time when we were rolling out servers, computers to all schools in the NT. I visited nearly all the 146 Government schools over that time and regularly travelled interstate and overseas to represent NT Education on various groups and committees.
During this time we:
- developed the first NT Schools Portal
- obtained laptops for teachers
- rolled out the SAMS system in all schools
- facilitated professional learning for teachers in using ICT in their classrooms
- helped schools with their ICT Strategic Plans.
I had the very big honour of being invited to Thailand to speak at an International Conference and also travelled to England to attend the British Education Technology Trade Show.
